From family confectionery kitchens to complete production solutions.

Tanis was founded in 1995 by Leo and Rene Tanis, building on 20 years of hands-on experience in confectionery engineering. Initially specializing in kitchen processing equipment for a wide range of candies, from chews to nougat, we evolved our expertise in 2014. Since then, we have focused on delivering complete, high-performance production lines, specifically engineered for the gummy and jelly market.

1995

The Founding

Leo and René start Tanis in an old distillery building in Schiedam.

1996

First Interpack

TC&C makes its debut at Interpack, together with brother Peter from TFT. A proud moment for the Tanis family.

2005

10 Years of Round Frames

Using 10 years hygienic round frames. To be copied by our competitors is the greatest flattery.

2008

Range Expansion

The T-Gel product line expands with Conditioning Rooms and Track Systems.

2011

New Name, Sharper Focus

Tanis Group becomes Tanis Confectionery: a new name that reflects the growth and focus on complete production lines.

2012

New Headquarters & Innovation Center

We moved to Oosterhout and opening of the Candy Innovation Center.

2013

Global Presence

Tanis now supplies more than 350 factories worldwide.

2015

Australia Facility & T-Gel Starch

Opening of the Sydney facility.Introduction of T-Gel Moulding Starch: an important expansion of the T-Gel product line for Gums & Jellies.

2017

The Turnkey Solution

Introduction of the revolutionary turnkey solution for Gums & Jelly production.

2020

USA Support Hub Opening

Opening of our support hub in Salt Lake City; a valuable step for the region.

2023

First Insight Event & World Record

Our first Insight Event, showcasing our One‑concept: a complete line with mezzanine, interconnecting piping and much more. Also we created the largest gummy bear in the world (world record).
