Protecting Tomorrow, Today
Our business sustainability goal is to reduce our emissions by 50% by 2030, striving for net-zero emissions by 2050 in line with the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi). We seek to inspire and work together with our customers to pursue similar targets by advancing the environmental friendliness of our equipment and providing guidance. Simultaneously, we are unwavering in our commitment to fostering a positive workplace environment through transparent and ethical practices.
Our SDG Goals
Our sustainability strategy is built on three core pillars and prioritizes the SDGs where we have the greatest impact:
- Environmental: Our Commitment to the Planet focuses on SDG 6, 7, 9, 12, 13 and 15. We aim to increase water efficiency, upgrade industrial technologies, and encourage responsible consumption and production.
- Social: Building Stronger Communities focuses on SDG 3, 8, 9, and 12. We work to create save and good jobs, maintain a diverse team with learning opportunities, and promote responsible consumption and production.
- Governance: Leading with Integrity and Transparency focuses on SDG 17. We are dedicated to working together globally with honesty and accountability.
Maximizing Water Conservation
Implementing measures to optimize water use and promote water reuse. One of the initiatives we have implemented is the reuse of water for FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing).
Reducing Waste
Implementing strategies to minimize waste production and promote recycling. Adopting eco-friendly packaging solutions with initiatives like “One planet. One tree. One goal.” to promote sustainability.
Reducing Our Carbon Footprint
Utilizing electric motors and other technologies to lower energy consumption and decrease carbon emissions. High efficiency engines are a part of the Tanis Standard.
At Tanis, we are committed to producing candy manufacturing machines while minimizing our environmental impact. We carefully select and use materials in ways that are as eco-friendly as possible, striving to implement sustainable practices throughout our production process. Recognizing that some environmental impacts are unavoidable, we have joined the Trees for All initiative to help offset these effects. Through this membership, we contribute to reforestation efforts and support the planting of trees to compensate for our carbon footprint. Our dedication to sustainability is an integral part of our business strategy, reflecting our commitment to the planet and future generations.
Community Engagement
In addition to our active employee association, our staff can participate in the Tanis Vital program. We offer an on-site gym with professional guidance and regularly organize a variety of events outside of work hours to promote overall wellbeing.
Reducing Travel Impact
Tanis has opened locations in America and Australia to reduce the need for intercontinental travel. Additionally, we are committed to minimizing unnecessary travel whenever possible.
Promoting Sustainable Commuting
Tanis has a bike program that encourages our employees to leave their cars at home. We have been named the Best Bike Employer in Brabant by ‘Ons Brabant Fiets.’
